Lada Živković is a molecular biologist and works as Associated Professor at the Belgrade University-Faculty of Pharmacy, Serbia. Areas of her research interest are genome instability in Alzheimer's Disease, genotoxicology and anigenotoxic potential of natural products and nanomaterials. In 2014 she was a Fulbright fellow in the Laboratory for Vascularization and Biomedical Engineering of Professor Eric Brey at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago, Illinois, USA, and produced a research on "Examination of the effects of imaging with X-ray PC on engineered tissue function and health”. Currently, she is engaged in the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) action no 15132, “The comet assay as a human biomonitoring tool (hCOMET) as a MS substitute,“Cancer nanomedicine - from the bench to the bedside”: action No. CA17140 and the scientific project financed by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Republic of Serbia. „Aberration of the Cell Cycle and the Impact of Oxidative Stress in Neurodegenerative Processes and Malignant Transformation of Cell“. Lada is a team leader of bilateral project of Serbia and Republic of Slovenia “Anti-atherosclerotic effects of olive leaf extract”.
