Roger Ridley PhD

Roger currently works at Royal Society of New Zealand as Director, Expert Advice and Practice.  This includes providing expert advice to government and the public on important science-related matters, and working with the research community to identify and encourage best practice and integrity in research.

Roger is also part-time Executive Secretary to the International Science Council's Committee on Freedom and Responsibility in Science.

Roger has an original background in atmospheric science and modelling, followed by 18 years in senior government roles covering economics, science investment and science policy.
