CV

I obtained my B.S in Chemical Engineering from Bahauddin Zakariya University, NFC, IET, Multan,… (more)

I obtained my B.S in Chemical Engineering from Bahauddin Zakariya University, NFC, IET, Multan, Pakistan in 2007 and M.S in Environmental & Energy Engineering from University of Sheffield, UK in 2009. I then obtained a PhD position at Institute of Process Engineering, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China from 2011-2014. From October 2014 till February 2016, I served as Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering Department, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore (KSK Campus) and actively taught at undergraduate and master level. Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral fellow at Leibniz Institute for Catalysis, University of Rostock, Germany. Here my research is focused on CO2 activation-valorization for synthesizing value added fuels and fine chemicals.

My primary research goals are directed towards understanding the basis of catalyst design, synthesis and application. I have worked in developing highly efficient and stable catalytic materials for different industrial processes including; COx activation-valorization, water gas shift reaction, fuel-desulfurization, and coal-biomass pyrolysis. I have also acquired good knowledge in many material characterization techniques essential to study catalysts and their performance in a typical reaction system.
