Dr. Anjum Rasheed is an environmentalist working as Assistant Professor at Centre for Climate Research and Development (CCRD) at COMSATS University Islamabad. She has worked on the project 'Pakistan Low-Carbon Scenario Analysis' in collaboration with International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) for (a) development of a reference case for greenhouse gas emissions from the sectors of energy, transport, industry, agriculture, forestry and waste; and (b) identification of feasible mitigation options for Pakistan. She was associated with Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, North Carolina State University (NCSU) to work on ambient air quality analysis and assessment of effects of climate change on air quality in Pakistan.

Dr. Anjum has also worked on 'WRF-Chem Model Evaluation Project for Hindu Kush Himalayan Region' at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), Nepal. Before that, she was working with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as Chief Coordinator for ‘Technical Cooperation Project for Establishment of Environmental Monitoring System in Pakistan’. She worked on establishing the air quality monitoring network at Federal and Provincial level. She carries an extensive experience of working at Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) on diverse environmental issues particularly engagement with the projects including ‘Pakistan Environment Program’ and ‘Malé Declaration on Control and Prevention of Air Pollution and its likely Transboundary Effects for South Asia’.
