Mohamed Elsonbaty Ramadan is an Award-winning Science Journalist and Science Communicator. He has 7 years of professional experience as a Freelance Science Journalist, where he published more than 600 pieces about scientific topics in different reputable outlets including Scientific American, SciDev.Net, MIT Technology Review and Popular Science. His coverage focused on public health, climate change, science and policy among other topics. He participated in many conferences around the globe including World Conference of Science Journalists 2019, American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual meeting 2019, EuroScience Open Forum 2018 and others.

Mohamed obtained his Master degree in Science Communication from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom in 2016, through the prestigious Chevening scholarship. He obtained a Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University in 2011. Due to his achievements in science communication and journalism, Mohamed was awarded the EurekAlert! Fellowship by the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2019. In addition, he was chosen in 2017, as the first winner of Mijbil Al-Mutua Award for young science communication professionals in MENA region. Mohamed is a member of Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) network.
