I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh. Currently I am doing my Doctoral studies at the Department of Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics under Faculty of Civil Engineering and Earth Science, Budapest University Technology and Economics, Budapest. 

My principal research interests lie in the application of GIS and Remote Sensing in geospatial analysis with special focus on Urban and Environmental Planning. I am more interested to apply GIS in understanding spatial problem in urban areas which helps better city planning and policy formulation. I have also keen interest in disaster management and risk sensitive land use planning. Recently I am working on Agent-based modelling in spatial optimization problem.
