Dragan Radonjic was born on 15 July 1955, in Sarajevo. He graduated from the Law Faculty in Podgorica, Montenegro in 1977, took his Master degree at the Law Faculty in Belgrade in 1981, and obtained his PhD at the Law Faculty in Podgorica in 1985. Since 1978, he has been appointed gradually to all university titles, from teaching assistant to full professor at Law Faculty in Podgorica. He served as the Chair of the Department for Business Law, his teaching subjects being Company law and Commercial law. He performed important academic and state functions. He acted as President of the Assembly of University of Montenegro (1987/88), President of the Parliament of the Republic of Montenegro (1989/90), served at the position of the Vice-rector of University of Montenegro in three mandates (2001 - 2008), was member of the Council for Higher Education of Montenegro, and member of the Senate of University of Montenegro (2010 - 2013). He served as Dean of the Law Faculty of the University of Montenegro (term 2013 - 2016), and as member of the Council for police work civil control (2010). Within his scientific and professional work he was committed to studying of property-legal and economic-legal relations. He is author of several books and numerous articles published in professional and scientific journals. Most important books: Legal acting with matters in the public possessions (1983); The right to work with social resources (1985); Organs of the society capital (1998); Comment on the Company law (2003); The Company Law (2008). He was elected for full member of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2008, was its Vice-president (2011 - 2016), and since 2016 serves as MASA Secretary General.
