              Education at Eötvös L. Univ.: chemistry: 1985 (M.Sc.), 1989 (Ph.D), 1998 (D.Sc. MTA), 2016 Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

              Full professor of chemistry since 2001 (Head of Organic Chem.: 2007-2010 & 2016-).

              Teaching experiences: organic and bio-organic chemistry, molecular and bio-spectroscopy (NMR, CD, IR). Supervised the work of two dozens of BSc, MSc and 19 PhD student.

              Expertise: Synthesis of peptides and glycopetides, expression and purification of proteins. Bio-spectroscopy (CD, IR and NMR) and structure elucidation and dynamic characterization of peptides, foldamers & proteins. Molecular modeling: MM, MD QM/MM and various QM methods.

              Published >250 scientific papers, received over 6000 citations (>4500 independent), IF >750, H-index= 42.

              Awards: Pro Scientia gold medal (1993 & 1995), Zemplén Géza award (1996), 1st price of the Faculty of Science, ELTE (1997), Scientist of the year (Sanofi-Synthelabo, 2004), Fulbright fellow (2006), Bolyai Prize (perhaps the highest scientific awards in Hungary, 2011).

              Married since 1984: wife dr. Dóra Perczel-Forintos (clinical psychologist), with three children: Kristóf (MD), Júlia (MSc Art and Psychology) and György (MD).
