Anđela Mrđa is a full-time science journalist and associate at the Center for the Promotion of Science in Belgrade, Serbia.

 

Anđela graduated from the University of Belgrade, where she recived a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication. During the undergraduate studies, she finished one year as a grantee of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, Poland. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Marketing management at the University of Metropolitan in Belgrade.

 

Anđela started working at the Center for the Promotion of Science in 2017 and since then has written several hundred science popular articles and interiews. Her articles have been published in the official media of the Center for the Promotion of Science -  science popular portal ”Elementarium and quartly science popular magazine ”Elements, as well as in daily independent newspapers “Danas (both electronic and print edition) and ”National Geographic Serbia”. She also wrote scripts for the scientific progarm at the Radio Television of Serbia”.

 

She attended several conferences among which  is the 11th World Conference of Science Journalists, the 7th Heidelberg Laureate Forum in Heidelberg, Germany and as a member of the Balkan Network of Science Journalists, she also attended various Balkan Science Workshops.

 

Anđela is currently involved in writing and implementing EU project mostly about science communication and popularization.
