Central Europe Trust (CET) was founded in 1989 by Lord (Nigel) Lawson, the former financial secretary, minister of energy, and chancellor, in which capacity he led the UK’s ₤80b privatization programme and deregulation) along with a strategy consultant from Booz Allen Hamilton and investment banker from JP Morgan, SG Warburg and Rothschilds. CET is based in London and present in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, fmr Yugoslavia, Romania, Ukraine and Russia as well as a member of Clairfield, a global network of independent advisory firms. CET has served 500+ clients and active in: Consulting: 1,000+ engagements: market entry (analysis, partner search, sales/business development, operational/financial optimization, restructuring Advisory: 170+ merger, acquisition, sale, franchise, joint venture, greenfield, corporate/project finance transactions • CET assists foreign firms enter Hungary/CEE and Hungarian/CEE firms expand internationally Private Equity: 7 funds, 80+ investments, $650m with partners: EU, EBRD, AIG, Framlington (now AXA), Charterhouse, Credit Commercial de France (HSBC), Bank Zachodni (Santander) and Jupiter (Commerzbank). • We seek firms/projects in CEE or beyond requiring €1-300m+ of equity/credit in all sectors, including all forms of technology.
