Dr.K.Angamuthu is a mechanical engineer, received his Ph.D degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. in the year 2000. He worked as Assistant Professor at B.S.A.Crescent University, Chennai, India from January 2000 to January 2001, post doctoral scientist at the then GKSS Research Center (Now Helmholtz Zentrum), Geesthacht, Germany from February 2001 to March 2004 and Professor of Manufacturing Technology, Adama University, Ethiopia from October 2005 to September 2008. 

He has taken the administrative position as Director of an Engineering Institute at Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India from October 2008 to September 2010, Dean of Engineering, Lovely Professional University, Phakwara, Punjab from October 2010 to November 2012 and Dean of College of Engineering, Science and Technology, Fiji National University, Fiji Islands from January 2013 to November 2015. Currently, he is working as Professor and Head of the department of mechanical engineering, Providence College of Engineering, Chengannur, Kerala, India. He is having about 33 years of experience in teaching and research. He has published 20 research papers in national, international conferences and journals. he has guided few masters degree including Ph.D degree and bachelor degree students. His area of interests are materials and manufacturing engineering, welding engineering, fatigue and fracture and cryogenic engineering. He has travelled many europian countries, asian countries and pacific island nations.
