Founding Director of IKU Innovation Research Centre (1991). [IKU belonged to Budapest Corvinus University till 2007. Since then IKU is belonging to Financial Research Co. She is honourable professor at University of Szeged.

Main research interests: systems of innovations, the innovative capabilities and performance of the different actors, business organisations and universities, the role of internationalisation in technology upgrading and R&D; knowledge flow through mobility and migration. Recent years she is focusing on the university-industry relationships and its internacionalization. She has well accumulated experiences in the STI measurement issues. She has coordinated several EU projects relating to new member states.

She was first Hungarian representative in the OECD NESTI group for 13 years, and was an expert of UNESCO on S&T statistics and indicators.

She has been member of the National Committee for Technological Development, the Committee for Industrial Economics at HAS, Economic Advisory Council of Budapest Business School.

 She was an supporting expert to evaluating European (7) FP and evaluated EU research grant applications; participated in UNESCO innovation reviews in several post-Soviet countries; for ESF has designed indicators of internationalisation for evaluation.

She has been guest professor in Brazil, Campinas University, and several PhD Summer Schools in Europe and together with AAAS run series of seminars for middle carrier people in governing S&T.
