Gonzalo Hernández Jiménez is currently the Director of Research at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá-Colombia), and Associate Professor of the Department of Economics at the same university. His main research areas of interest are related to developing economies, particularly in Latin America: (i) international economics, (ii) macroeconomic development, and (iii) political economy. Some of his contributions have been published in Cambridge Journal of Economics, Cepal Review (Economic Comission for Latin America and the Caribbean), Journal of Asian Economics, and the International Review of Applied Economics.
