Honorary Scientist of RA, Corresponding Member of RA National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of Yerevan State University English Philology Department, Chairwoman of the Specialized Research Council of Romance and Germanic Languages,  Founder and President of the Armenian Association for the Study of English, Chairwoman of the English Language Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal “Armenian Folia Anglistika,” the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the annual publication “ Language and Literature in the Contemporary Paradigm of Scientific Knowledge,” ESSE Board member, Advisory Board Member of European Journal of English Studies, Member of Yerevan State Unversity Academic Council. She is the author of about one hundred and fifty publications (monographs, textbooks, articles) and has supervised more than 30 PHD dissertations and Doctorates. She has participated in numerous conferences and constantly provides expertise to linguistic departments of higher educational institutions in Armenia (curriculum development, conferences, specialized research projects, teaching material).
