Prof. dr. sc. Neven Duić is a full professor at the Power Engineering and Energy Management Chair at the Department of Energy, Power and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and Chair of Energy Department of Croatian Academy of Technical Sciences. He is president of International Centre for Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems. Prof. Duić published 119 original scientific papers and 9 review papers in scientific journals referenced in SCI and CC publications, 98 of scientific papers are Q1 papers, of which 41 of them are in top 5% of the journal in the category (referring to ISI Web of knowledge data base). His papers were cited 2674 times according to Scopus data base and 1899 times according to Web of knowledge data base. His H-index according to Scopus is 30 and according to Web of knowledge data base 25. Prof. Duić is editor of Q1 “Energy Conversion Management” journal, subject editor for Q1 journal “Energy”, a member of editorial board of following journals: Q1 journal “Applied Energy”, Q3 journal “Thermal Science” and since 2013 he is Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems – JSDEWES which has been indexed in Scopus data base in very short notice and from the first attempt. He has organised 13 of the series of conferences on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems and was a member of organising, scientific and programming committees of more than 40 research conferences. Prof. Duić is coordinator of Croatian participation in two projects of Croatian Foundation for Science and over 25 international scientific research projects. His main areas of interests are Energy policy and planning, energy economics, sustainable development policy and resource planning, climate change mitigation, combustion engineering and modelling, research and innovation policy.
