Stephen is one of the world’s most experienced television news Presenters.

 

He has, uniquely, led the launch of four international news channels as well as having chaired at numerous International events.

 

In 2018 Stephen was asked to help launch a fifth global Channel, CGTN from London. Stephen is Executive Producer and Host of his new talk show: The Agenda with Stephen Cole.

 

After a career in news including writing on ITN’s News at Ten he was asked to launch Sky News in 1989.

 

After five years he was head-hunted to launch CNNI in Atlanta. He returned to London three years later to re-launch BBC World.

 

While at the BBC he created the world’s first IT show, Click Online taking it around the world to 28 countries in 7 years.

 

Ten years later he and Sir David Frost helped launch Al Jazeera in London and Doha.

 

Stephen has conducted interviews with Presidents, Prime Ministers and Movie Stars.
Hosted the Global IT Summit with President Clinton. And is a regular judge at the Royal Television Society News Awards and at BAFTA.

 

So far this year (2019) he has presented the Oil and Gas Awards on behalf of the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah Foundation in Qatar, Chaired the Global Thinkers Forum in Malta and moderated a top-level panel including Steve Bannon at the Eurasian Media Forum in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He also moderated and chaired at the World Science Forum in Jordan and at Davos.

 

He is in frequent demand for his views and analysis on the Middle-East and Brexit both on television and in magazines.

 

He is on the advisory board of a pharmaceuticals Blockchain company, a Board member of the Global Thinkers Forum and, a School Governor, West London
