Zoltán Alföldi has graduated at the Keszthely Agricultural University, Keszthely, Hungary, in 1988. He has earned his PhD degree in Agricultural Sciences in 1998 at the University of Pannonia, Georgikon Faculty for Agricultural Sciences, Keszthely, Hungary. Dr. Alföldi has earned his second MSc degree at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary, in 2011, as a Human Ecologist. He serves currently as an Associate Professor at the University of Pannonia, Georgikon Faculty, Department of Plant Sciences & Biotechnology, Keszthely, Hungary, since 2007. He was granted the Grant of Excellence in Higher Education by the Tempus Public Foundation, Budapest, Hungary, in 2017, for developing a complex system of curricula for sustainability in higher education, including the courses Human Ecology, Bioethics, and Environmental Education, and various practical trainings. He is a member of the Jury of Agricultural Science at the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, Budapest, Hungary, since 2014. He is also a Board Member of the international Journal for Central Eureopean Agriculture, since 2019. He was an invited guest lecturer at the University of Modena & Reggio Emilia, Faculty of Agric., Modena, Italy, in 2005, teaching the course of Environmental & Agricultural Bioethics. Dr. Alföldi has spent over 2 years in various universities in Switzerland (ETHZ, Zürich), Japan (Tokyo Univ. of Sci. & Tech.), Italy (Univ. of Udine), the US (Iowa State Univ.; and Yale Univ.).
