I am working as a Faculty member in the Department of Criminology and Police Science at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Bangladesh and now doing my PhD in Sociology at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest with Hungarian Government Scholarship. I have done more than 27 scientific research works in the field of sociology and criminology which was published in the different journals and as book chapter. I have been awarded a number of research grant in the field of sociology and criminology by various organizations like- Social Science Research Council of Bangladesh, University Grant Commission of Bangladesh, also I have been done several research projects in the field of policing, crime, and governance funded by Bangladesh Police and a NGOs. I had the opportunity to participate and present papers in the several national and international seminars and conferences namely in the USA, Australia, Japan and India. I have been participated several national and international short courses and training program on the issue of social sciences, victimology, and research methodology. At present I am very much focused on my PhD course and exploring the fear of violent crime existing in the societies. I believe this conference will give me an immense opportunity to learn new ideas from different experts and their talks coming from different parts of the world which will be very much helpful for my PhD course, my research and contribute to develop crime prevention policy.
