Kazuyoshi Shimada is working for making stories, strategies, and communities throughout communications with scientists and wider stakeholders. He has dedicated stakeholder engagement into the strategy making and community building aiming at increasing social value of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). Since 2003, he has worked for JST at Department of Basic Research, Center for Research and Development Strategy and Center for Science Communication prior to the present Department. In 2012 for 6 months, he was a visiting researcher of The Innovation Space at Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in UK government to study workshop facilitation. Before joining JST, he worked for Takeda Foundation as a Program Officer founding prestigious awards in the engineering fields, and Waseda University as a Teaching Associate. He received his doctor of engineering degree from Waseda University in 2000.
