Dr Dadvar has joined the Global Young Academy (GYA) in 2017. For two consecutive years, she served as the Chair of the Selection Committee and the Co-lead of the Scientific Excellence Working Group. During this period she, along with her colleagues, put a lot of effort on identifying other parameters for evaluating one's scientific excellence, other than conventional evaluation metrics. Moreover, she constantly worked on further improving the diversity and inclusivity of the GYA membership through certain developments and considerations during the new membership selection procedures. She is currently a member of the GYA Executive Committee. Dr Dadvar is a computer scientist at Stuttgart Media University in Germany. Her research lies in the area of cybercrime detection, social media analysis, and Natural Language Processing.
