Virág Zsár is expert of International Studies. As she is the Head of the Division for International Cooperation at HETFA, she is responsible for the
preparation and management of EU funded projects since 2016. During her studies she started to work on S&T policy support projects in Collegium Budapest in 2008 and in Bay Zoltán Fundation for Applied Rresearch in 2009. She was involved in the implementation of EU-funded transnational projects (Central Europe, INTERREG IVC). She gained broad experience in the preparation, administrative and thematic management of various FP funded INCO projects (with Ukraine, Danube Region countries, Southeast Asia, etc.). She is a lecturer at Pazmany Peter Catholic University in Budapest, since 2015 she teaches the course "EU Project Management" for International Relations master students. During these years, she recruited her staff (including trainees and then permanent colleagues) for HETFA from students following the course which provides a good basis for the mentorship programme planned in the project foRMAtion. She is fluent in English and French, and she is familiar with German and Latin as well.
Her PhD research is on the impact of EU funded projects on transnational cooperation in the Danube Region
