Zhenzhen Li is a professor of Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASISD), and of University of Chinese Acdemy of sciencs (UCAS). She is also a director of Standards Group of Artificial Intelligence Alliance of Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIACAS), a member of Supervision Committee of Natural Science Foundaton of China (NSFC), an executive council member of Chinese Association of Science of Science and S&T Policy Research (CASSSP) and a director of  Professional Committee of Sociology of Science of CASSSP, an executive deputy editor-in-chief of Journal of Science and Society, and a former director of Center of Scientific Ethics Studies of Academic Division of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASAD).

Prof. Li's current research interests are sociology of science, policy and management of science and technology, especially focusing on ethics of artificial intelligence and Bioethics.
