My name is Heidi Ahmed Shalaby, I was born on 1979 in Egypt, My current job is the Director of the General Unit for the Preservation of Historic Areas, at the National Organization of Urban Harmony, Egypt. And I am also an Associate Professor of urban planning- Architecture Department- Zagazig University, Egypt.
About my Education: I finished my PhD on 2010 and my Master Degree on 2003 From Cairo University, and my graduation was on 2001 from Architecture Department, Zagazig university. Egypt.
I am Starting my academic career from my graduation on 2001 as a teaching assistant and get promoted tell the Associate Professor of urban planning. At this time, I have along list of publications in the urban planning and communities, and recently I am interested in the preservation and managment of the heritage buildings and Areas, Also, I have supervised on many masters and PhD theses.
my professional career, I was participated on many national /international projects in Egypt like:
Rehabilitation Architecture Hassan Fathy’s village-Luxor with UNESCO and NOUH,
Preparing the File to list Rosetta on the WHL
Documentation of the Heritage buildings with 3D laser Scan in Down Town Cairo
Revitalizing the Down Town Cairo
upgrading Ismalia Square in Heliopolis
Revitalizing the Azbakia Garden as a heritage garden in Down Town Cairo
The Chaiman of The committee of listing of heritage buildings in Sharkia.
All over all of these years of work and study, I attended many international conferences and meetings and also participate with many workshops.
