Edmond Sanganyado is an associate professor in the College of Science at Shantou University, China. He obtained a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology (University of California Riverside, 2016) and a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry (National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe, 2008). His research focuses on understanding and mitigating the impact of human activities on aquatic systems using fundamentals of environmental chemistry and microbiology. He is currently an editor for the Sustainability and Conservation Studies section for Scientific African, an Elsevier and Next Einstein Forum multidisciplinary journal. Since 2014, Edmond has published more than 25 research articles in journals such as Environment International, Water Research, Environmental Pollution, and Science of the Total Environment. Edmond has contributed five articles on science policy in Science where he was selected as Next Generation Voice in 2018 and 2019. He is a recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship, Guangdong Province Pearl River Fellowship, and International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry's Periodic Table of the Younger Chemists Award.
