Inge Ruigrok is currently a Project Advisor in the Social Sciences unit of the European Research Council (ERCEA). She holds degrees in Journalism, International Relations and Political Anthropology. As a WOTRO Science for Global Development Fellow, she conducted research on post-war governance and transitional justice in Angola. Her post-doctoral studies, carried out at the NOVA Law School in Lisbon, focused on African state formation and public administration. Prior to this, she worked as a journalist in South Africa, and as a consultant in international cooperation projects, specialised in strategic communication and public outreach.
