I am a Bangladesh born Environmental Scientist. Currently, I am investigating impacts of/ adaptation to- environmental change (including climate change) on social-ecological systems in low-lying river deltas such as Bangladesh. I am interested in understanding the processes of global environmental change and their local impacts on health, livelihood & ecosystem services. In addition, I am particularly interested to understand societal-response (adaptation) to environmental change. My work mostly covers science-society inter-phase. I am bringing my field research into the classroom to educate the new generation, using trans-disciplinary methodologies, combining natural -social science disciplines.
