Jiří Nantl is Director of CEITEC - Central European Institute of Technology at Masaryk University, Czech Republic, and Chairman of Alliance4Life (an association of Central and Eastern European research-intensive organizations in health research). University administrator by profession, he also formerly was Director of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic as well as First Deputy Minister of Education in the Czech Republic. He is a recognized expert in educational, higher education and science policy, and was a principal architect of the Czech National Qualifications Framework. Jiří Nantl currently is Deputy Chair of the Appeals Committee of EQAR (European Register of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education) and member of Board of Governors at Janáček Academy of Perfoming Arts and at the University of Ostrava. He also previously served as member of governing boards at a number of other higher education and research institutions, as member of the National Board of Qualifications, and as Vice Chairman of the Council of Higher Education in the Czech Republic.
