I am an animal biologist with a track record in morphology, biomechanics, evolutionary biology, and mathematical biology. My research focuses on developing analytical tools to model animal anatomy, characterizing evolutionary patterns, and studying the relationship between form and function in both cases and cross-sectional studies with implications for evolutionary biology and human health.

I am also editor of Revista Venezolana de Bioingeniería, a journal of the National Institute of Bioengineering (Instituto Nacional de Bioingeniería de la Universidad Central de Venezuela) focused to show advances of STEM disciplines in Venezuela and Latin America.
