Dr. Hamisi Babusa is currently a lecturer of Kiswahili and Language Education and Head of Teaching Programmes and Publications Section, Kenyatta University. He completed his Bachelor of Education (Kiswahili) in 1997, Master of Arts (Kiswahili) 2005 and PhD in Language Education in 2010 at Kenyatta University. He has authored 4 Dictionaries, 9 novellas and several other books. Dr. Hamisi is the first pioneer author to have written Kiswahili Science fiction novellas based In Biology and Astronomy. These novellas made him to be recognized by Africa Science Week-Kenya and Next Einstein Forum as one of the twenty 2018 Faces of Kenyan Science for pioneering the use of Kiswahili Science Fiction novellas to educate children on science.
