The Global Round Table is an international non-profit organisation with the aim to identify new and emerging ideas of socio-economic importance; improve the level and quality of information available to economic- and political decision-makers; inspire civil society leaders and the young generation.

Its four-year worldwide campaign “NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for the EUROPEAN UNION” led in 2012 to the award of the Nobel Peace Prize (EC reference: José Manuel Durão Barroso, President of the European Commission, Ref. Ares(2013) 334462, 14.03.2013).

Its first Protector and High Patron was Prof. Ferenc Mádl, President of Hungary, succeeded by Boutros Boutros-Ghali, former UN Secretary General.

The spiritual / intellectual inspiration is through its International Board of eminent personalities.
