Encieh Erfani is an Assistant professor of Physics at IASBS (Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences), Iran. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from University of Bonn, Germany in 2012. Her research area is Theoretical Physics and in particular Cosmology. She obtained several awards such as ICTP Diploma Program Fellowship (2007), TWAS Fellowship for Research and Advanced Training in 2014 and 2015. She is also the associate member of International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy.

Studying in three different countries; being familiar with four languages (English, French, Spanish and German); working in several international institutes and universities; organizing many scientific activities (for the public) provided her with a unique set of skills to communicate, understand problems and find solutions. She is passionate about teaching, promoting science in public, helping young students especially females through international collaborations.
