Dr. Éva Erdélyi studied Mathematics at Eötvös Loránd University Budapest, and later achieved a PhD degree in the discipline of Plant Production and Horticultural Sciences. She has been teaching since 1990 at several Universities, and beside the ‘Best Lecturer’ award she got the ‘Research in excellence’ award at the Corvinus University of Budapest in 2010. She teaches courses on Mathematics, Statistics, and Research methodology. She is very much interested in applied fields, and in working with talented students. Her various scientific and research topics include climate change impact analyses, surveys of regional adaptation strategies, modelling, risk analyses, teaching methodology, environmental protection, rural development, sustainable tourism, life cycle analyses, carbon footprint, food waste, etc. She is presently an associate professor at the Faculty of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism at the Budapest Business School – University of Applied Sciences. She has supervised many students and got the ‘Excellent Mentor’ award in 2019. She is a member of the Doctoral School Landscape Architecture and Landscape Ecology at the Szent István University. She was involved in many research projects, working on improving methodology, evaluating case studies and application assessments, focusing on sustainability and the environment. She is a member of scientific committees and scientific societies and a reviewer of books, journals and research projects.
