Dr. Jagat Kumar Bhusal   

Dr. Bhusal has Doctor of Philosophy on “Coping with Climate Change: Water Availability and Adaptive strategies in irrigation practices in Mustang “ from Tribhuvan University, Nepal; Master in Hydrology from Roorkee University, India and, Postgraduate Course in Hydrology and Sedimentation from Hungary.  Besides, he has Master of Science from Andhra University, India and Diploma in Law from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has 3 month’s training on River and Dam Engineering from Japan, on Flood Risk Analysis and Mapping from the Philippines and a Technical Training from the USA and several short trainings. He has working experience for 32 years in the government of Nepal. He had provided technical inputs in hydrology and meteorology for project studies on hydropower, irrigation, road, and bridge, drinking water and urban planning, disasters, bathymetric survey of lakes and river, Siwalik hydrology. He was involved in Mountain EVO research projects as an Investigator. Currently, he is associated with the Landslide EVO research program in Nepal as a Co-Investigator. He served as the Chairman of Electricity Tariff Fixation Commission, GoN (2015-17); Chairman of Society of Hydrologists and Meteorologists–Nepal (2012-17) and as member secretary and member of International Hydrological Programme Nepal National Committee (2008-16). He has published 38 papers in proceedings, magazines, and journals.
