Dr. Erika Bálint is a Research Associate at the Department of Organic Chemistry andTechnology, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. She received her Ph.D. inChemical Sciences in 2013 from the same University. Her main research interests embraceorganophosphorus, microwave and green chemistry including the synthesis of heterocycliccompounds by multicomponent reactions. She is the author or co-author of approximately 70peer-reviewed scientific publications. She is a member of the Editorial Board of HeteroatomChemistry. Her main research awards are the Women in Science Excellence Award, theKajtár-Hollósi Award for Organic Chemists and the János Bolyai Research Scholarship of theHungarian Academy of Sciences, as well as the Bolyai+ Research Scholarship of the NewNational Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities.
