Mr Mohammad Al Yaqoubi is the Secretary General of Oman National Commission of Education, Culture and Science since 2012. He has a Master's degree in EDUCATIONAL STUDIES from The University of Sheffield in UK. He has over 40 years of experiences in the field of education and international relations.

He led many initiatives such as the Joint National Team to follow up the implementation of the recommendations of the World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development, Organizing Committee of the Global Meeting on Education for All and the national team to prepare the mid-decade report on EFA, the National Working Group for Human Rights Education., the National Action Team of the Arab Development Plan for Education in the Sultanate of Oman etc

He was also a member in many national and international committees related to education, human rights, and ethics and a vital participant in over 40 international conferences related to the ISESCO, ALECSO and UNESCO
