Dr Majd Al Naber
Majd is the team leader and senior researcher for sustainable development pillar at West Asia-North Africa (WANA) institute. She is managing several projects related to the environmental sustainable development goals such as agriculture water productivity, water decoupling, the potentiality of renewable energy in MENA region and Climate change. Majd is a specialist in integrated water resources management, water policies for the Arid lands and the sustainability of agriculture sector in the arid lands. She worked on several EU-funded projects as a water expert, as well as a consultant for USAID-IWMI “groundwater governance in the Arab world” project, and for several national and international organizations. She holds a joint PhD in Groundwater Governance in Arid Land from Wageningen University (the Netherlands) and Montpellier Paul Valéry (France), a MSc in Land and Water Resources Management - Irrigated Agriculture from the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies of Bari (Italy), and a BSc in Land Water and Environment from the University of Jordan. She has several scientific publications related to water resources management and governance in Arid land.
