Stephanie Okeyo is a microbiologist and science communicator. She founded Under the Microscope in 2018, a platform that promotes the creation and dissemination of science content particularly in Africa. Providing a platform to educate, mentor, innovate and network. Her work fuses the scientific and other communities to design creative, diverse and inclusive content that talks on community development challenges promote and support the use of sound evidence based solutions to build resilient communities and a sustainable world. Stephanie is Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) Ambassador for Women in Science and the representative to the United Nations Office, Geneva. Moreover, she is a council member for the FGM to STEM initiative. She is passionate about empowering young girls in the science space and be a voice for gender equality in science and technology. Creating an African scientific land space that transforms lives and provides equal opportunities and benefits for every human being.
