Viola Egikova spent in science journalism over 35 years. She was elected to be President of Russian association of science journalists and writers (in 2000), Honorary Secretary of the

European Union of Science Journalists’ Associations, EUSJA (2008), Vice-President of EUSJA (2012), EUSJA Board representative for international cooperation (2016). She is also national representative of Russia in European Science Events Association (EUSEA) and Coordinator of the Programme Committee of All Russia Science Festival, member of World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ). She is organizer of numerous international study trips for science journalists to science centers, international panels and discussions to conferences and forums in different countries, panelist to ESOF in Stockholm, Barcelona, Turin, Copenhagen, Manchester. V.E. attended International Round Table Conference in Beijing in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 years.

Viola Egikova was awarded different prizes including the Prize of Lomonosov Moscow State University (2005), the Medal from the City of Moscow (2009), Prize for Journalism from the Government of the city of Moscow (2011),  Honorary Badge of Merit from the Union of journalists of Russian Federation (2018).
