Evangelia is a polyglot, and a well-traveled life sciences researcher with professional academic training within the UK and Scandinavian market. Goal- oriented, and self- driven individual that has shown experience in both a laboratory-based, as well as a science- entrepreneurship environment. Proven project management and leadership experience attained through her PhD/postdoc positions in addition to her elected Vice-chair position at the Karolinska Institute Postdoc Association (KIPA). She was selected to represent KIPA at the World Science Forum in Jordan, as a member of the International Consortium of Research Staff Associations. Evangelia has strong interests in innovation and commercialization of scientific research along with science policy and public engagement. For example, she was selected for a 3-month project internship at the Swedish Research Council (largest governmental research funding agency in Sweden) to assist in the development of their strategic research agenda for the national program for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Sweden. She was also recently involved in the co-organization of an international showcase at the World Water Week in Stockholm. Evangelia is also a trained open science ambassador, attained through the Foster Open Science courses and Eurodoc (http://eurodoc.net/) Ambassador training program.
