Prof. Goran Bandov PhD, Lawyer and Politic Scientist, Associate Professor and Vice Dean at Dag Hammarskjöld University College of International Relations and Diplomacy in Zagreb (Croatia, EU), who received his PhD from the University of Hamburg, is a European expert in International Relations and International Law with focus on Human and Minority Rights Protection, Peace Studies and Dealing With The Past. Bandov earned his Master in Law at the University of Osijek (2003), Master of Peace and Security Studies at the Institute for Peace and Security Studies in Hamburg (2005), PhD in Philosophy and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg (2009) and his Postdoc at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok (2017).

 

Prof. Bandov has more than 15 years of experience in teaching: International Relations, International Law, International Human and Minority Rights, Peace, Security, Southeast Europe, Diplomacy, Holocaust. He published the book “Der Schutz nationaler Minderheiten in der Republik Kroatien als Instrument zur Pravention ethnopolitischer Konflikte” and more than 30 papers worldwide on the subjects of IR, International Law, Human and Minority Rights, Peace, Dealing With The Past, Sustainable Developments, EU and International Organizations. 

 

Bandov is member in Global Young Academy (2019), Associate Member in World Academy (2015), Member of Croatian Club of Rome (2019) and Vice Presidentf of Croatian Pugwash Movement. He received Rotary Peace Fellowship in 2017.
